In the bid to ensure a liveable, prosperous, and healthy Anambra as Championed by Gov Charles Chukwuma Soludo.
The TC Chairman of Onitsha South LGA, Hon Emeka Orji Led Commissioner for Works, Engr Ifeanyi Okoma, and Fegge Landlords Association to visit some parts of Fegge and its environs.
This is coming barely 24 hours after the swearing of the Caretaker Committee Fegge Landlords Association.
The visit was to inspect ongoing Road Construction across Fegge and its environs.
Also on how to checkmate and tackle the issues of flooding whenever it rains as a result of blocked drainages and to properly channel flood water into the Nwangele.
The TC Chairman took the team around some critical areas that needed urgent attention from the state government.
The areas visited include Creek Road by Bida Road Sakamori drainage (Jeniks Bread), Creek Road drainage by Onuoraikeme Street, and Ekwulugo Street drainage by Creek Road amongst others.
The Commissioner instantly gave the contractor handling the projects instructions to do the costing for Government approval and commencement of work thereafter.
Speaking, The Caretaker Chairman of Fegge Landlords Association, Chief Okwudili Obinwanne thanked Gov. Soludo for the Investment in road infrastructure in Fegge Onitsha South LGA and noted that the residents and landlords are appreciative of the good works of Mr. Governor Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo.
Meanwhile at the Creek Road by St Dominic’s Catholic Church Fegge –
They met with Parish Priest St Dominic’s Catholic Church Fegge Onitsha, Rev Fr Evaristus Nwagbara (Onowu) who acknowledged and appreciated the good works of Gov Charles Chukwuma Soludo in Onitsha South LGA especially in Fegge, urging The Commissioner for Works, Engr Ifeanyi Okoma to extend his gratitude to Mr Governor, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo for the good network of roads ongoing and some already completed in Fegge and environs.
He equally applauded the Caretaker Committee Fegge Landlords Association for swinging into work immediately taking upon the mantle of leadership, urging them to give their best.
While pointing to some points where attention should be focused on channeling flood water into Nwangele.
