STAKEHOLDERS OF ONITSHA SOUTH WELCOMES COUNCIL BOSS

The auspices of Onitsha South stakeholders across political parties and religious, yesterday 18th July, welcomed the local government boss, Hon. Chief Emeka Orji (Dikediebube), back as he resumed work at the council secretariat.

The well-organized welcoming reception to the council boss has been the culture of the stakeholders to appreciate the gift of a good leader who has impacted so well to the development of the council area.

The Onitsha South Local Government Chairman who was warmly received back to Nigeria is said to have embarked on a trip to the United Kingdom after the massive unalloyed endorsement from the good people of Onitsha South, that made the Mr Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo to reappoint him to continue the great work across the council area.

Speaking at the event, Senior Special Assistant on political matters to the council mayor, Hon. Chiadikaobi Dunu (C Prof) said this reception organized by the stakeholders for Mr Chairman as he resumes work today was to appreciate the chairman for the works he’s done so far in Onitsha South and to spur him to do more for the people. And also, to thank God for the journey mercy he granted our chairman.

The caretaker chairman of the Fegge landlords committee, Chief Okwudili Obinwanne reiterated that Hon. Emeka is a good man and leader and deserves all the special kind gestures from the good people of the council area, to appreciate him for the both human capital development and infrastructural network that scattered across the local government which he (Hon Orji) attracted.

“Our Chairman is a good man, and I pray that we have his kind of humility and concern for others,” Obinwanne stated.

Chief Emeka Orji was overwhelmed by the love he received and appreciated their heartfelt expression. He thanked God for his journey mercy and also appreciated our loving Governor for his special love for Onitsha South and ndi Anambra.

“We have an ongoing pet project. That is to turn the River Niger Bank side at the Niger Street, into an entertainment garden. Where after completion, our people would go to relax, have fun, enjoy and prolong their lives. This project has kicked off and after completion, it would attract tourists which would boost the revenue of our local government and the state too.

“Umunnem Ndi Onitsha South, all I crave from you is your total support and encouragement.

“And let me quickly add, that the construction of Nkrumah street by police station, fegge would soon kick off”, Hon. Emeka added.

“Please, permit me again to invite you to come and receive our amiable Mr Solution Governor, Prof Soludo to Onitsha South, for the flag off this year’s tree planting season. On Saturday 20th July at Godwin Achebe Stadium by 10 am.” Sir Emeka Orji concludes.
