The Anambra State Government has announced a crackdown on fake pastors who exploit people by selling so-called healing waters, oils, and other deceptive items.
Dr. Mefor, the Commissioner for Information, revealed that the government will take action against fake prophecies, staged miracles, and other misleading practices that manipulate the public or encourage criminal activities and get-rich-quick schemes.
He also stressed that the recently enacted Anambra State Homeland Security Law will apply to anyone engaging in such illegal activities, regardless of their religious claims.
