Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has formally announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and declared his defection to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Eno joined APC with all his Commissioners, LGA Chairmen and political appointees.
The governor said his decision followed months of wide-ranging consultations with stakeholders across the state.
He thanked the PDP for its support during his tenure but emphasized the importance of embracing change while holding on to shared values.
Eno described the move as a defining moment for the state, urging citizens to align with the times and not resist necessary progress.
