ANAMBRA – In a proactive move towards enhancing support for the voiceless, the Nigerian Women With One Voice (WWOV), Anambra State Chapter, Executives, led by the state coordinator, Hon. Omaliko Nkiru, paid a courtesy visit to the State All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA Women Leader, Hon. Esther Chinyere Onyekesi (Adaejiejemba) at her office in Awka.

In her address, Hon. Omaliko appreciated the APGA Women’s leader and commended her warm reception. She introduced the WWOV’s program and reiterated that the significant engagement reflects WWOV’s commitment to creating safer and more inclusive communities, as well as advocating for actionable reforms that safeguard the rights of vulnerable groups and negate the environmental and social impacts of street begging, such as defaced public spaces and links to crime in major cities/towns in Anambra State.

In response, the APGA State woman leader, Hon. Esther, welcomed the State Coordinator and her team, pledging her unalloyed support and declaring her readiness to work with the Women With One Voice for the good of Anambra.

Earlier on, WWOV paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Commissioner of Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Hon. Ifeyinwa Maryceline Obinabo, who was unavoidably absent for the state assignment but was represented by her Special Assistant, Hon. Blessing Nwaeke who received the team and promised to inform the commissioner about the visit and its importance.

The visit was not just about identifying challenges; it was also about forging stronger partnerships, and it concluded with a mutual commitment to intensify collaborative efforts to advance Anambra State.
