The Mayor of Onitsha South Local Government Area, Chief Emeka Orji, felicitated with Governor Charles Soludo as the state marks its 34th year of creation and commended him for the infrastructural and human capital developments in the state.
He further commended the founding fathers of Anambra State for playing a crucial role in the creation and development. Their vision, leadership, and dedication to the well-being of the people have a lasting impact on the state.

Orji added that their legacy would continue to inspire current leaders, including Governor Charles Soludo, who is building on the foundations of these pioneers to drive progress and development in the state.
He congratulated Governor Soludo on good governance, recognising his efforts in promoting infrastructural development, healthcare, education, and human capital development in the State.
According to Orji, “Under Governor Soludo’s leadership, Anambra State has witnessed significant infrastructural development, including the construction of over 400 kilometres of new roads, maintenance of existing roads, and building of general hospitals and primary healthcare centres.

“The state has also improved on security, with the administration liberating eight local government areas from unknown gunmen and making Anambra one of the safest states in the country.
“On Social and Human Capital Development, the Governor’s administration has implemented various social and human capital development programs, including free antenatal services, free delivery services, and skill acquisition programs for youths.
The Mayor also reiterated that Governor Soludo’s administration has demonstrated fiscal prudence, achieving significant development milestones without borrowing from any bank, despite the challenges posed by naira devaluation.
He, after recounting the achievements of the governor so far, emphasised the need for Ndi Anambra to give him their unalloyed support to achieve his aim of turning the state into Dubai Taiwan as he promised by re-electing him come Nov.8 gubernatorial election.
