The caretakers of Ozomagala Market in Onitsha South Local Government Area of Anambra State, ably led by Mr. Umeh Tochukwu, paid a courtesy visit to the council Mayor, Hon. Chief Emeka Orji, Dike Di Ebube at the secretariat, to congratulate him on his victory at the last local government election and brief him on the state of the market.

In their heartfelt congratulatory message, the caretaker chairman described Chief Emeka Orji as a visionary leader and a man of many characters.
“Congratulations on your well-deserved victory! We are excited to see the positive impact your leadership is already bringing and wish you all the best as you continue to embark on your system of governance”.

The caretaker chairman further, introduced and briefed the Mayor on the committee’s plans and progress, thus far.
Responding, the Mayor welcomed them and reiterated that local governments are indeed responsible for managing and maintaining markets and motor parks.

According to the Mayor, “Markets and motor parks are one of the primary assignments of local government to oversee and control.”
Dike Di Ebube called for peace and ordered the status quo to be maintained in the market and due process to be adhered to.
