Catholic Laity Of Nigeria Honors Onitsha South Mayor Award Of Excellence

ONITSHA — The Catholic Laity Council of Nigeria (CLCN) Onitsha Episcopal Region honoured the Mayor of Onitsha South Local Government Area, Chief Emeka Orji, Dike di Ebube, yesterday, June 26, with a leadership Excellence Award as an Ambassador of the Catholic Church at the secretariat.

Specifically, the accolade highlights the Mayor’s commitment to promoting Catholic values and Christendom in general.

In addition, the laurel is to acknowledge and appreciate Chief Orji’s efforts in advancing humanity,
efforts in promoting the well-being and betterment of society.

According to the Coordinator of Onitsha South LG Catholic laity council of Nigeria, Comrade Ben Chikezie, the
award serves as both a recognition of past accomplishments and an encouragement for continued service and good governance.

” He has done and is still doing well in human capital development, infrastructure, and he is a replica of Prof Charles Soludo, Olu atu egwu ndi Onitsha South”, Ben stated.

Receiving the award, Onitsha South LG Mayor thanked the Catholic Laity Council for such recognition, and reiterated that the present government will continue to partner religious bodies in the council area for greater achievements and ensure that Soludo’s goodwill is revitalized in every household.
