The Anambra State Government, through the Solution Innovation District (SID), has taken a bold step towards digital transformation with one million Anambra digital tribe in Onitsha South LG outreach held yesterday, April 10, 2025, at the local government secretariat. The initiative is part of the ambitious one Million Anambra Digital Tribe program, designed to equip Anambra youths with essential digital skills to thrive in the digital industry.

The vision is led by the leadership of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo and driven by the dedicated efforts of Miss Chinwe Okoli, the SID has structured this initiative to train 1,000,000 youths in digital skills for free. The program seeks to bridge the digital gap, empowering the young population with in-demand tech expertise to foster economic growth and global competitiveness.

The outreach event in Onitsha South focused on creating awareness and encouraging more young individuals to enroll in the courses.

The Mayor of Onitsha South Local Government, Chief Emeka Orji, reiterated the effort of His Excellency, the executive Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, in ensuring that both indigene and indigene are engaged in transforming their lives and families and contributing positively to the State.

Orji further stated that Soludo’s administration is made for everyone in the State to key in irrespective of academic qualifications and family background.

” Today (yesterday) we are talking about training 1 million people through digital tribe free under the Solution Innovation Digital.

“In no distant time (a couple of weeks), Governor Soludo is going to empower over 8,000 youths with a start-up capital under 1 youth 2 skills program for batch 2 and will enroll about 20,000 youth for the next phase (2025 set),” the Mayor stated.
