The Local Government Chairman, Hon. Emeka Orji urged Christians to use the opportunity of Easter to pray for peace, unity, and development of the Local Government and the State.
We will make faster progress toward achieving the peaceful, united, strong, progressive, and prosperous Onitsha we all desire if we eschew divisive, parochial, ethnic, and political sentiments and rivalries.
The chairman made the call on Christians to live by the teachings, virtues, and messages of love and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In his Easter message, he reaffirmed that the Onitsha master plan is gradually coming to reality and operation of “keep Onitsha South clean” through waste management control is a step in the right direction.
We should begin to live more harmoniously with our compatriots and pray for one another.
He said his administration will continue to engage in positive synergy with relevant stakeholders and the State Government for us to continue enjoying social amenities, uninterrupted infrastructural strides of the Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, and peaceful coexistence at all times.08037822794><08088886679
The boss wishes to equally charge us all not to forget our dear Local Government, State, and the entire country in our private and collective supplications, especially during this period of high spiritual significance. May we use the period for sober reflection and pray fervently for an end to every challenge bedeviling us as a people.
Also, may the lessons of Easter commemoration be reflected in all our day-to-day human activities.
