The New Face Of Ochanja Roundabout – Fountain
Briefing the press, Engr Ifeanyi Okoma Commissioner for Works stated that Ochanja Road Construction work is still in progress and the contractor hasn’t left the site.
We arrived first thing in the morning here at the site.
As we can see, I’m standing on the strong base of the road.
What happened was that the contactor was laying the last bit of asphalt on the paver when it started to rain, and the base course on which the asphalt was wet.
When the contractor noticed that the base was wet, he cut off the portion on the wet surface and used it to fill the adjourning street, at Menax Road.
The cut-off section is less than 600mm.
Meanwhile, he said nothing happened to the road
I’m shocked at the narrative going online, which is false.
He assured Ndi Anambra that Mr Governor Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo is giving Ndi Anambra the best and nothing short of the best.
Meanwhile, the contractor handling the project, Zhongtian Construction Nigeria Limited, Mark Tuu said the road is still under construction.
We are continuing work.
We have been working in Anambra State for a long and we still guarantee good quality for the road.
I’m also appealing to the traders to keep Anambra clean to enjoy the good environment
When we started building, our challenge here was the traders and the blocked drainages.
I’m appealing to the market people to help us.
Meanwhile on the ground to ascertain the true position of what transpired was Fegge Landlords Association led by the Caretaker Chairman, Chief Okwudili Obinwanne, Dr Noel Udeoji Nwabueze Esq. – Secretary, Chiadikaobi Dunu – Provost amongst others.
