The Honourable Commissioner-II of the Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Uche Okafor visited Onitsha South Government Council to ascertain their attitude to work and working environment.
Hon. Okafor commented on the workers and reiterated the staff’s welfare and comfortability of the working environment. He further encouraged the staff and stated that the administration of His
Excellency, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, is merit-based and extols the Governor on the sterling achievements in a short period. He reiterated that any employment of new staff should go through the local government authorities.
The head of the local government administration, Mrs. E. Phenomena appreciates the honourable commissioner for scoring them above average and thanked the staff for the workforce in the council.
The TC chairman of Onitsha South local government, Hon. Emeka Orji welcomed the honorable commissioner and reiterated that the working environment of the staff encourages them to discharge their duties effectively without stress.
